Alongside the announcement of her fourth record Art of the Unseen Infinity Machine, New York singer-songwriter Allegra Krieger wrestles with a lack of fulfilment on her new track ‘Never Arriving’. With a talent for delivering devastatingly honest lyricism with poise, opening verse ‘Never arriving/no common goal/just connecting flesh in the night’ is felt under your skin with a lasting chill. Thriving on a softer rock feel with thoughtfully arranged sharper edges, Krieger is sketching out the realisation that a connection is burning out.  While you may not pick up immediate frustration from her graciously unperturbed tone, it bleeds through an exasperated twang and slight overdrive in the guitar. Krieger maintains a style that makes it feel as though her experience is speaking for the collective.
